The Wahiawa Lions "funraiser" for Lion Jack's campaign on November 21 at Paradise Park's Treetops Restaurant proved to be an enjoyable experience for those attending and for the Lions who supported the event. The great food was complemented by really sensational entertainment. The Steve Lucas and Friends band played a steady stream of standards to which Bobby Ruffin from The Drifters and Lion Ginai vocalized, and Rene Paulo joined in with memorable renditions of old favorites. Many thanks to event chair Lion Donald Yamato from Kapolei City Lions, Campaign Co-Chairs Lions Henry Lee and Donald Sagara, and all the Wahiawa Lions who bought tickets, made donations, or pitched in at the event. Thanks also to Lion Rene Mansho and co-emcee Kimo Kahoano, and matalo nui loa to the many clubs and Lions throughout District 50 that supported the "funraiser."
